Group Study Room

Group study rooms are simple, enclosed meeting spaces seating up to 10 in the Richardson and Loop libraries.

Group Work Tables

Group work tables seat from 6 to 8 people and exist in open areas of the Richardson Library. Powered by media:scape technology, the tables allow users plug in computers and other devices and share content on single or double screens.

Maker Hub

The Maker Hub is a new, experimental and creative space intended to connect DePaul researchers, makers, and entrepreneurs from across campus and beyond with specialized equipment and a collaborative atmosphere for design and innovation.

Studio G

Production and performance space with professional light system, MacPro workstation, and green screen. Maximum capacity is 6.

Usability Studio

A lab with three iMacs with FaceTime cameras loaded with the Silverback usability software application. Also contains a two way mirror for objective observation from the adjacent studio F*. An intercom phone is also available to instruct test participants remotely if desired.

*Studio F is a functioning media studio and must be reserved separately if you would like to use it for your testing.

Media Studios at Richardson Library

Reserve

The media production studios include seating for 1 to 2 people. All studios include MacPros with single or double screens conducive to video and sound editing.

Microphones, cameras, keyboards, analog media players and other hardware can be attached to workstations to serve different purposes such as sound or video recording, presentation practice, podcasting, digitization, and digital preservation.

Idea Lab 1

Room 206 is a small group meeting room seating 12 with resident computer, laptop plug in, and digital panel for group presentation. Also includes white board and fabric pin walls for brainstorming and display of non-digital content.

Reservable by current faculty and staff only.

Idea Lab 2

Room 207 is a community event, teaching, and workshop space seating 30 with resident computer, laptop plug in (HDMI), and digital panel for group presentation. Also includes white board walls for brainstorming and display of non-digital content. Lightweight tables and chairs can easily be moved, stacked, and reconfigured for different event types.

Reservable by current faculty and staff only.

Scholar's Lab

Room of 6 group work tables seating 5 each with attached digital panels and resident computers allowing a large group to break apart into smaller teams to work with digital content. Also includes podium computer at lectern, overhead projector, and screen for presenters.  Mac laptops to plug into tables available by request. Maximum capacity is 30.
